I've Got My Own Thing Going On® 2010

Created originally in collaboration with the Rhubarb Festival, Toronto, Canada, this piece explores intellectual property, celebrity, and popular culture. In 2007 celebrity heiress Paris Hilton trademarked her personal catch-phrase "That's Hot!" with the US Patents office. In an attempt to become a "Celebrity Artist" the artist has followed her lead and trademarked his own personal catch-phrase "I've Got My Own Thing Going On" with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office and is now the legal owner of this phrase in Canada. During the public performance of the work, viewers can meet the artist and learn how to use this helpful phrase in everyday conversation, as well as purchasing Officially Licensed "I've Got My Own Thing Going On®" merchandise.

It's Time to Talk About Our Future Together 2009

Presented originally at the Tina B. Festival, Prague, Czech Republic, the piece invites viewers to join the artist at his table to drink wine, eat bread, and discuss their future together.

I Don't Know What's Gonna Happen But It's Gonna Be Great! 2009

Presented originally at the Beehive Gallery, Amsterdam, Netherlands, the piece explores the nature of the expectations that people bring with them when viewing art. One viewer is selected from the group to have a discussion with the artist about his or her experiences in viewing art and to create a spontaneous performance for the group based on their conversation.

Talking to Chris Dupuis 2008

Developed though residencies at the Banff Centre for the Arts, Banff, Canada, Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, Toronto, Canada, and the Poortgebouw, Rotterdam, Netherlands, this piece brings the artist's one-on-one relational performance style in front of an audience. One viewer from the audience is selected to join the artist for a conversation in front of the group lasting thirty to forty-five minutes.

I'd Like to Get to Know You Better 2008

Presented originally as part of the Performance Gallery at the Summerworks Festival, the piece invites viewers to engage in a one on one performance with the artist which lasts between ten and forty-five minutes. The piece consists of a free form conversation, guided by the artist, which terminates when a state of intimacy has been achieved between the artist and the viewer.

What's Your Problem? 2007

Presented originally with the Theatre Centre, Toronto, Canada, the piece invites viewers to engage with the performer via telephone to explore a specific problem they are experiencing in their life and find self actualized solutions.

The Fame Room 2006

Developed though a residency at The Canadian Stage Company, in collaboration with Chris Reynolds and Chad Dembski, the piece invites viewers to enter a private room one at a time where they are greeted by the team of performers. The viewer may be asked to engage in a performance or answer specific questions. The performance terminates when the viewer is awarded with a sticker which says either FAMOUS or NOT FAMOUS according to their efforts.
